Role

An Online Content Specialist is responsible for creating, curating, and managing digital content to enhance the online presence and engagement of a company or brand. This role is crucial in attracting and retaining online audiences, driving traffic, and supporting marketing and communication objectives.  

Responsibilities

  • Content Upload: Upload various types of content, including articles, images, videos, and documents, onto the CMS platform following established guidelines and best practices. 
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough quality assurance checks on uploaded content to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand standards. 
  • Content Formatting: Format content according to predefined templates and style guides, ensuring consistency in presentation across different channels and devices. 
  • Content Organization: Organize and categorize content within the CMS to facilitate efficient content retrieval and navigation. 
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot technical issues related to content upload, CMS functionality, and integrations, escalating as necessary to the appropriate teams for resolution. 
  • Training and Documentation: Provide training and support to content contributors on CMS usage, content upload procedures, and best practices. Maintain up-to-date documentation of CMS processes and guidelines. 

Requirements

  • Proven experience working with content management systems, preferably in a similar content upload or content management role. 
  • Strong understanding of digital content formats, metadata standards, and content optimization principles. 
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. 
  • Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing content-related issues.
