Responsibilities
Will be responsible to lead the global finance function and drive accounting operations, controllership, compliance, tax and audit for all Mankara entities
Reporting to : CFO
Location: Bangalore
Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA) / Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
Experience: Minimum 4-5 years of post-qualification experience, with some experience in IT/ITES companies
Span of Control: 5 people
Role Description
- Meeting the Group’s financial and statutory reporting requirements and delivery of Financial Statements and MIS on monthly, quarterly and annual basis
- Ensuring financial discipline through budgetary controls, good working capital management, strong governance methodologies, etc
- Continuously look for cost reduction and Working Capital optimization opportunities
- Oversee the monthly closure of books of all entities of the Group in line with the relevant accounting standards and within the Group deadlines
- Directing and overseeing all all aspects of accounting operations and transactions related to general ledger, invoicing, receivables, payables, payroll, etc
- Developing and implementing best-in-class accounting practices and processes
- End to end planning, coordination and execution of all internal, tax and statutory audit requirements
- Oversee tax matters and implement effective tax strategies for the organization
Expectations
- Should be capable of handling Audits and liasoning with Banks and Government departments
- Working knowledge of accounting standards – US GAAP, Indian GAAP, and IFRS
- Ability to manage, mentor, lead and motivate the finance and accounting team
- Ability to influence internal and external stakeholders
- Bias for action, strong work ethic, and desire to achieve excellence
- Good oral and written communication
- Meticulous with a keen eye for detail
